Richland Level III Sex Offender Update

The Richland Police Department is warning the public that a level III sex offender has been making frequent visits to area restaurants and has been witnessed speaking with young girls.
Richard Eugene Shoemake, 60, was convicted of indecent exposure in Benton County and first degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a minor in Umatilla County.
Shoemake lives on the 1900 block of Pike Avenue in Richland.
He has served his sentence for his crimes and is not wanted by police at this time.
The police are authorized to inform the public of a sex offender's actions when they believe the information will enhance public safety.
