Police Search for Chase Suspect
Kennewick Police are trying to identify a suspect or suspects who led three agencies on a high speed chase in two states yesterday.
The chase started about 11am Tuesday near Umatilla, Oregon. Oregon State Patrol troopers tried to stop the man but he refused to pull over.
The chase continued into Washington where Washington State Patrol troopers joined the chase. When the driver ended up on Highway 395 in Kennewick, and Kennewick Police assisted with trying to stop the motorist.
Police founded the suspect vehicle abandoned in the parking lot of 2917 W. 19th Avenue, the driver fled on foot. Kennewick police contained and searched the area but the suspect was not located.
The vehicle was impounded and a search warrant was issued for the vehicle. Kennewick Police are working with the Oregon State Patrol and the Washington State Patrol to identify the suspect or suspects in this case.
