Head-on collision injures five people in Yakima County
Washington State Patrol is investigating a head-on collision that injured five people early Saturday morning in Yakima County.
Troopers say 18-year-old Tyler Schademan of Zillah was traveling eastbound on Yakima Valley Highway, approaching Konnowac Pass when he crossed the centerline striking another vehicle head-on about 3:30 a.m.
Investigators believe drugs or alcohol may have been a factor in the accident.
The collision injured the other driver, 18-year-old Feliza Gonzalez of Wapato and her female passenger, also from Wapato. Two men, also riding with Schademan -- both from Zillah -- were also injured. All five people were transported to Yakima Regional Hospital.
