Richland Man Dies in Apparent Fireworks Accident
The Richland Police Department is reporting that a 61-year-old Richland man has died in an apparent fireworks related accident Wednesday night.
Benton County coroner John Hansens says that John Anderson died of massive trauma to the chest and head.
According to the Richland Police Department blog, officers and medics responded to the area of Gala Way and Westcliffe Boulevard after receiving a call of a man suffering from a fireworks injury.
Officers and medics were not able to revive Anderson, and he died on the scene.
Richland police bomb squad members were at the scene.
Police detectives are investigating the incident.
