Yakima Artist Paints Mural
A Yakima Valley artist showcases his talents today painting a mural of the valley's wine country.
Ernest king, previously a teacher in Grandview, says this is one of the largest paintings he has ever made.
He sprays every one of his paintings first with red, and says he never uses black paint.
To him, this is not only his business this is his passion
King says the picturesque views in the Yakima Valley are where he draws his inspirations from.
" I'm basically a person looks at nature and the area in which we live in and than I internalize it, and than express that on canvas , paper or whatever I use."
King has sold over 100 paintings and will be working on this mural every monday afternoon at the tower cafe on Yakima Avenue.
