Gas Leak Causes Evacuation
An early morning gas leak causes homeowners and a nearby school to evacuate.
City workers hit a 2 inch natural gas line around 7 am this morning near Franklin Middle School, some employees at the school along with janitorial staff were forced out of the building.
Crews digging near the 400 block of 19th avenue hit the line and as a precaution evacuated the area.
Cascade Natural Gas capped the line about an hour later and Tieton drive was reopened to traffic.
