Fire Damages Yakima Apartment Building

Investigators are trying to find out what started a fire that damaged a Yakima apartment building tonight.
Firefighters say the fire started just before 6:30 in the building on East Maple Street. Crews arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the building.
Authorities say living in the other apartments were able to escape, Firefighters searched the apartment that burned and found no one inside.
Authorities don't yet know how much damage the fire caused.
