Mobile Home Destroyed in Fire

A Sunnyside family is homeless tonight after fire destroys their mobile home.
The fire started around 9:30 a.m. at a double wide trailer on the 1000 block of West Yakima Valley Highway. A woman and her son were asleep when the fire broke out, and escaped. It took firefighters a couple of hours to put the fire out.
The fire department believes the fire started in the attic, the cause is being investigated. Damage is estimated at more than $100,000.
