Zillah Teapot Dome Move Update
Teapot Dome near Zillah
The city of Zillah now has enough money to move a former gas station that's shaped like a teapot, to a new location.
Earlier this week leaders approved spending nearly $400-thousand to relocate the historic Teapot Dome from Yakima Valley Highway, closer to town.
The city was short $65-thousand for the project, but just today Zillah received a county loan and grant for that amount.
Work on the teapot will begin in February, and it may be placed near the Zillah Civic Center in April or May.
