Thousands Expected for Area Wine Event
Thousands of people are expected to travel up and down the Yakima Valley wine country for this weekend's Red, Wine and Chocolate event.
More than 50 wineries are participating in the annual wine and chocolate tasting event.
The event, put on by the Yakima Wine Association combines the fine tastes of chocolate with red wine.
Participants can enjoy tours, catered foods and of course wine tasting.
Erin Salisbury traveled in from Boise with some of her friends for the weekend festivities, she said it's all about making memories.
"I'm here with some of my best friends in the world, and it's fun," Salisbury said. "We're having a girls weekend tasting some wine, having fun, this is our first stop but the wine is delicious and the times are even better."
