Wapato Woman Reported Missing
A Wapato woman is reported missing, and her loved ones are distraught over her disappearance. Now, details on where the woman was last seen, and has the latest on the investigation.
Ricardo Ramirez says he's having a hard time holding himself together since he last saw his missing girlfriend, 20 year old Jessie Anna Goodrow, last Friday.
"I try to be strong, but I haven't ate, haven't slept since you know she's been gone," says Ramirez.
Ramirez says friends saw Goodrow at Legends Casino Friday night, this afternoon the van she drove there was still sitting in the casino's parking lot.
"Sheriff's office was notified day before yesterday that Jessie Goodrow was missing from a residence in Wapato," says Chief Stew Graham.
This isn't the first time Goodrow has gone missing, the Sheriff's Office says Ramirez reported that Goodrow disappeared a few days around the holidays. It turns out she had gone to Skagit county to visit relatives.
But this time Ramirez fears the worst because now Goodrow isn't answering her cell phone.
"It goes straight to her voicemail, like she has it turned off, like she never usually does that, she always has it on," says Ramirez.
The Sheriff's office says it will review security camera footage from the casino, as part of their investigation into this case.
Authorities are also expanding their investigation be examining other records.
"What we're doing is attempting to see what we can find out about her whereabouts from phone records, and also from talking to various relatives," says Chief Graham.
Right now authorities don't suspect foul play, and Ramirez is hoping his girlfriend of two and a half years will be found safe and sound.
Goodrow's relatives and detectives want to hear from anyone who may know anything about her whereabouts. If you have information call the Yakima County Sheriff's Office at 509-574-2500.
