A Yakima man pleads guilty to first degree murder in the beating death of an adult video store clerk, and is sentenced to 34 years in prison.

40 year old Aaron Wilsey killed 70 year old Edward Foster while robbing the store in March 2010. Wilsey originally faced a trial for aggravated murder, and the possibility of life without parole if convicted.

But last week the prosecutor's office offered a plea deal for the charge of first degree murder.

"You never know what a jury's gonna do, so through the give and take in negotiation, we came up with this settlement," says prosecutor Ken Ramm.

Documents read in court reveal Wilsey beat Foster in the head with a wrench, and stole money from the cash register. Police think the murder was a robbery gone bad, both money and merchandise were missing from the store.
