We are less than 48 hours away from the Super Bowl kickoff - and many local businesses say the big game means big bucks.

For local Wingstop owner Dave Tuthill, Super Bowl Sunday is by far the busiest day of the year.

"It's a crazy, hectic day, we'll have a line out the door for most of the day" said Tuthill.

The Pasco restaurant along with other Wingstops across the country, are expecting to see their sales on Sunday multiply eight times compared to a normal weekend.

The local shop by itself is preparing to sell nearly 30,000 wings.

"I usually always get mild or BBQ. I need a lot so probably 20 of each for me" said Brad Romm, Burbank resident.

Electronics stores are also busy selling TVs at discounted prices.

And local taxi companies are expecting a spike in calls after the game clock winds down.

"Every Super Bowl for a couple hours after the game ends, we get to hopping pretty good, getting guys home from the bar and private parties at homes as well" said Ron Davis, Tri-City Taxi.

But despite all the Super Bowl parties, local police officers say they won't have any extra officers on the streets.

They say on Sunday, it's just business as usual.

"You have an increased number of calls. Sometimes we have party calls, those types of things. But it's not significant enough to warrant additional staff on the road" said Mike Blatman, Kennewick Police Department.

Wingstop employees say they've been preparing for Sunday's rush all week - but the extra effort is worth it.

"It's absolutely amazing how many people love chicken wings and that's what they come and get for Super Bowl" said Tuthill.

Americans across the country are expected to eat a total of 1.25 billion chicken wings on Sunday, according to the National Chicken Council.
