Sledders Heading For The Hills
There's still a fair amount of snow left in Yakima today, and many people are taking advantage of it.
Dozens of people gathered around various parks in Yakima for some afternoon sledding.
Many experienced sledders could be found zipping down the steep hills at Franklin Park, while first-timers spent their day at West Valley Junior High.
One parent says sledding is the perfect excuse to get the family out of the house to enjoy the snow.
"The kids love to do it, and it gets them out the house instead of sitting around during the christmas vacation," said Rob Scott, "They get to come out and walk up and down the hill and just have a good time."
Other popular sledding places in the area include Randall Park, Milroy Park and Selah High School.
