Richland School Board president denies buyout for superintendent

The president of the Richland School Board denies a newspaper report that the district offered the superintendent a buyout in exchange for his resignation.
According to the Tri-City Herald, Superintendent Jim Busey says the district offered him a deal, but board president Rick Jansens says that is not the case.
The district is investigating allegations Busey had an inappropriate relationship with a school district staff member.
Busey is currently on paid leave, he did not return our call today.
