Apartment Fire Kills Umatilla Woman
A Umatilla woman dies from smoke inhalation after a fire started Tuesday morning in her apartment.
Investigators say the fire in 86-year-old Opal Young's apartment started by a cigarette igniting a plastic trash can next to her bed.
Young's caregiver discovered the fire when she went to Young's apartment to check on her.
