3 injured by vehicle traveling wrong direction on SR-240

A vehicle traveling the wrong direction on State Route 240 Saturday night causes a collision that sends three people to the hospital.

The Washington State Patrol says the accident occurred just after 5 p.m. when 56-year-old Charles McClamner was allegedly driving eastbound in the westbound lane of State Route 240.

McClamner struck another, driven by 45-year-old Trevor Patton, head-on injuring Patton and his passenger, a 13-year-old boy.

McClamner was also injured as the accident totaled his 1996 Cadillac Deville and Patton’s 1995 Toyota Camry.

Investigators say drugs or alcohol were not involved, but that charges are pending.
