The Yakima Bears is one step closer to taking the Northwest League team to the city of Hillsboro, Oregon next summer.

The Hillsboro city council approved a naming rights agreement Tuesday night for the proposed 4,500-seat stadium.  The council also approved for a contract with the Yakima Bears owner, Short Season LLC.

The move from Yakima, Washington to Hillsboro, Oregon still requires the approval of Major and Minor League Baseball and a concessions agreement.
