Yakima Search and Rescue crews will continue searching for a missing 16 year old Buena boy who is presumed drowned.

Relatives reported the drowning Monday afternoon.

After a full day of searching yesterday, crews took today off to rest their divers.

Officials say the pond, called Fire Lake, is a former gravel pit used in the construction of Interstate 82, it has very murky water that is extremely cold.

One official says because of the pond's condition -- divers abandoned their tools and resorted to feeling around for the body.

"The divers that were in the search could literally take their gauges and put it within an inch of their mask, and not be able to read the gauge. This turns into obviously very dangerous diving."

Sergeant George Town says divers will continue their search for the boy at noon tomorrow.
