Yakima River Water Levels Receding
Benton County Emergency Management said the water levels in the Yakima River are starting to recede after cresting Saturday evening.
The high waters sent excess water into roadways and into people's property last week.
BCEM said the levels reached a high of 12.81 feet Saturday before dropping to 11.36 by Monday afternoon.
The levels are expected to continue dropping, but are still considered to be in the action stage which means people living near the river need to be alert.
