Yakima Police Investigating Stabbing
Yakima Police are investigating a stabbing which took place last night on East Yakima Ave. Below is the official release from the YPD:
Several officers responded to a fight call in the parking lot at 607 E. Yakima Avenue. When officers arrived, several combatants were still fighting. During the fight, a male was stabbed multiple times in the chest. An officer stopped a vehicle that was leaving the parking lot and determined that the occupants were involved. Witnesses later positively identified one of the vehicle passengers as the individual who stabbed the victim. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. His condition is not believed to be life-threatening, though he will be undergoing surgery later this day. Though a suspect is in custody, this investigation is continuing.
