Kennewick Police Investigating Shots Fired Incidents

Kennewick Police are investigating several incidents of shots being fired last night, Below is a KPD release on an incident last night on the 900 block of West Kennewick Ave. Kennewick police chief Ken Hohenberg stated in an email that "We had two more incidents at two different locations last night. Both Kennewick and Pasco have seen a dramatic increase in this type of activity since the weather is warming up."

On April 29, 2012 at 2:25 am, homeowner Abel Madrigal and his wife were awoken to the sound of gunshots. Kennewick Police investigated the scene and found that three bullets struck their home. No one was injured. It is unknown why their home was targeted. There were no witnesses to the vehicle or person's that fired the gun.
Approximately thirty minutes later, several residents in the area of the 900 block of W. Kennewick called to report the sound of gunshots. Officers responded but could not find any evidence of property damage to any of the houses. A Witness did report seeing a white pickup fleeing the scene just after the gunshots were heard.
At this point there is no evidence that any of the weapons cases that we have investigated over the last few days are related.
"The Kennewick Police are dedicating all resources necessary to develop suspects in these cases," Chief Hohenberg said. "We will be relentless in these investigations until we can hold the persons responsible for these crimes accountable"
We are depending upon the good citizens of Kennewick to come forward with any information they may have concerning any of these cases.
