Graffiti Paint-Out

More than a dozen locations in the city of Yakima hit hard by graffiti are much cleaner tonight.

30 volunteers painted over graffiti at Madison House and other areas this afternoon. It was part of "Leadership Yakima Graffiti Paint-Out," an event sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce. The volunteers are from the chamber and local businesses.

The maintenance supervisor at Madison House appreciates the help he received in cleaning up graffiti today.

"One person, or even two people from the Mission here, can't keep up with it, and it's a neverending battle, and so anyway we really appreciate these guys," says Wylie Mills.

Several businesses donated paint and supplies for use in painting out graffiti today.
