Law enforcement investigates suspicious circumstances involving Hermiston woman
The Umatilla County Sheriff's Office is investigating suspicious circumstances surrounding a Hermiston woman and her exboyfriend.
26-year-old Melody Mickel was last seen Thursday morning at Rite-Aid where she works. Mickel arrived for work around 5:30 a.m. yesterday, but quickly left with her exboyfriend, 28-year-old Alberto Martinez, who lives in Umatilla County just outside the Hermiston city limits.
About 4 1/2 hours after Mickel left work, a coworker called Hermiston Police who then contacted the Umatilla County Sheriff's Office.
An investigation of Martinez' home has led law enforcement to believe suspicious circumstances as to Mickel's whereabouts is involved, however, details as to what was found at the home have not been released.
The Umatilla County Sheriff's Office say Martinez does have a criminal record.
Mickel broke up with Martinez 3 weeks ago. They do not live together and do not have children together.
Both Mickel and Martinez were last seen in a black 2006 Subaru Legacy with Oregon license plate 003CWZ.
