Hermiston School District gets $2 million grant from the state

School buildings in Hermiston in need of some repair or renovation may get help sooner than expected thanks to the state.
The Hermiston School District recently received $2 million from the state to pay for needed capital projects.
The school district received the money as part of a grant refund program where district employees submit expenses from recent capital projects.
The school district was anticipating getting about half a million dollars back, but instead got four times that amount.
