Cub scouts plant trees in Kennewick
Scouts Planting Trees
Some local cub scouts are making the Tri-Cities a more green place to live, by planting some trees in Kennewick.
This afternoon, about half a dozen scouts planted five trees at the Zintel Canyon Greenway on the corner of 7th Avenue and Vancouver Street.
The planting is part of an Arbor Day celebration put on by Benton PUD.
The power company is planting the trees to replace other trees that have been removed around power lines throughout the community.
