Tax Deadline Today
The deadline to file federal taxes is Tuesday night and people across the Tri-Cities are still headed to tax service offices to get it done.
Taxes are usually due by April 15th, but the 15th landed on a Sunday this year and Monday the 16th was a Washington D.C. holiday.
Rex Williams, Pasco, said he just kept forgetting when taxes were supposed to be filed, so he hurried to Road 68 to get it done.
"I forgot about 'em, been busy on the farm," Williams said. "I realized I had to take some time off from work, whoops, come in here [Liberty Tax] and get 'em done."
People who still have not filed can apply for an extension, pushing back the filing date to October 15th.
