Strip Club Denial Upheld By Yakima Leaders

UPDATE: The Yakima city council upholds a decision to deny a strip club from opening its doors.
Developer Jamie Muffett testified his "Sinsations" gentlmen's club could legally open on South First Street.
But the council voted unanimously to support the decision that the club wasn't compatible to nearby businesses. Many had threatened a boycott if the club was allowed to open.
Muffett declined to say what his next step would be. The ruling could be appealed to Yakima County Superior Court. Muffett's lawyer has said his client is looking at other places to open a strip club.
