Man Arrested for Having Two Pipe Bombs

Two pipe bombs were discovered in a Grandview home Saturday night. Just days before, deputies arrested a 30-year-old man for allegedly assaulting at least one family member at that same location.

Investigators responded to the house on the 1100 block of Woodworth Road Saturday, when one of the residents of the house said they found what looked like explosive devices.

The Washington State Patrol Bomb Squad was called in to help diffuse the bombs.

Sgt. Cory Sanderson says the bombs are the real thing, and rarely seen.

"I've been doing this for about 16 years now and off the top of my head I can only think of four, maybe five instances where I've responded to a pipe bomb," he said.

Clark has been booked into the Yakima County Jail, facing a charge of possession of an explosive.
