Sometimes you just can't help what gets into your food.
As crazy as it sounds, Vickie Zundel said last night while cooking dinner, she found a grasshopper while preparing spinach.
The green insect is almost hidden. blending in with the food.
Zundel said she was shocked by the find.
She called up Del-Monte, and after lengthy apologies from the company, she said she'll help them figure out just how the bug got into her can.
"He said he'd be sending paperwork and they wanted the big and they wanted the can and i gave him the numbers off the can so they could trace the whole bunch that came out at that time" said Zundel.
Zundel said she can't figure out how with all the cleaning that happens in a plant, how a insect that big made it through.
Vickie said she hopes no one has to find a bug in their food.
